Partenope, the internationally recognized pizza restaurant, turns 5 years old and is celebrating by selling its top-selling pizza, the Gennarino, for $5 on Thursday, September 19.

Y'all. That's a BIG DEAL This molto benne pizza with tomato sauce, mozzarella, hot sopprasetta and basil usually sells for $18. And, Thursday is the Feast of San Gennaro which is Naples patron saint and a fun celebration.

Lobstah in Denvah. 🦞🏔️

The Best Bite in Denver is the Tagliatelle with Maine lobster, Calabrian chili, preserved tomato and celery. You can have this beaut at Tavernetta, the glorious Italian restaurant from Frasca Hospitality Group.

Generous chunks of sweet, tender Maine lobster swim in a slightly spicy, umami-packed tomato sauce. There are small dices of celery that add a soft crunch. It doesn't taste like celery so the haters can sit right down.

I'm an avid fan of all things from FHG - everything they do is absolute perfection.

How they do it in Iowa: 🐮🐮

A dear friend brought me some chips from southeast Iowa to try. So I did.

These are a bit different because they are cooked in tallow, rendered beef fat, which has a very distinct flavor. Tallow has many health benefits including:

• Skin health  Beef tallow can help with skin hydration, moisture retention, and repairing the skin's protective barrier. It's rich in vitamins A, D, and E, which can support healthy cell turnover, promote skin regeneration, and combat free radicals. Tallow is also non-comedogenic, so it won't clog pores or cause breakouts.  
• Heart health  Beef tallow has a similar composition to the fat in human heart muscles and is rich in heart-healthy fatty acids. It also contains a high ratio of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), which has anti-inflammatory properties.  
• Immune health  Beef tallow is rich in fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K, which can help your body absorb more nutrients from your food and support your immune system.  
• Sustainability  Beef tallow is considered a sustainable fat because it's a byproduct of cattle farming and doesn't require extra resources.

• Antimicrobial: Tallow's high antioxidant and vitamin content repels most bacteria and microbes.

I got High on the Hog at Sachet.

The Best Bite in town rn has to be the Evan's Meat Market Chermoula Pork Chop. The thick Duroc pork chop is grilled and served with Muhammara, Cauliflpwer, Pomegranates and Labneh.

The pork chop is absolutely the best one I've ever had. It's tender, juicy, and the Sachet chefs cooked it perfectly. The sauces were so deeply flavored - muhammara is made of walnuts, red pepper, pomegranate molasses and bread crumbs. It's sweet and savory and works perfectly with that pork

Photos aren't great because for once I didn't take photos first. I wasn't expecting to be so blown away by that dish.

You might not be able to duplicate this dish at home but you can make your own pork chops at home with Evan's Meat Market which is neighbors with Sachet.

Sachet is one of the best restaurants in Dallas, no doubt.

Perched at Perch last week. Wanna know what I think?

It's way better than Dea in every way. The vibe is demure and mindful (IYKYK). Very approachable and unpretentious. And the restroom has been redone so it no longer looks like a bloody crime scene.

And the food? Y'all. That Chicken Paillard is delicious. Sooo good. Great, light crust almost like a tempura served with a gorgeous lemon beurre blanc sauce. 💯.

The shishito and whipped goat cheese starter is craveable. It has a nice blend of Smokey, hot, umami, sweet, crunchy - really good.

We had the B&B salad which was good as was the Caesar. The olive oil cake dessert was a bit dry until I mashed together the cake, whipped cream, ice cream, blackberry sauce and then it was really damned good.

Perch has a great menu - food, cocktails, and wine. I look forward to returning soon. Yay @lynaefearing . This is a neighborhood restaurant I can see visiting several times a month. There is a lot to explore in this menu.

El Carlos Elegante's Restaurant Week offerings are outstanding.

Three course menu offers the choice of one of three fab starters, three mains, and two desserts for $59 per person. The entire table needs to participate in the RW menu but the selections and portion sizes are perfect so, why not?

Beverage Director Eleanor has created such fabulous wine and cocktail programs, too. Big fan.
